I am an orthopedic surgeon in Virginia that supports dry needling.  I have seen counless patients benefit from this treatment and feel that the physical therapists providing this technique to my patients are qualified to do so.  They demonstrate safety and have never compared their treament to acupuncture,  nor claimed to be providing acupuncture.  Please consider the education that these therapists must have to practice before even taking continuing education courses to provide such treatment.
