Oppose PT dry needling

Dry needling is the performance of acupuncture.  PTs do not have the education nor are they licensed to practice acupuncture.  Acupuncturists have over 3,000 hours of study and clinical supervision before they can become licensed.  Allowing PTs with a minimal knowledge of Oriental medicine to needle patients, puts many people at risk.  Oriental Medicine is not just poking people with needles where it hurts.  It is a medical paradigm that needs a complete knowledge of how, why and when certain points are needled.  It is NOT about sticking needles in after a 24-40 hour course.
