Dry Needling proponants have chosen to circumvent current acupuncture laws by relabelling acupuncture as Dry Needling. They remain purposefully ignorant of current acupuncture research which shows the physiological responses of the body are EXACTLY THE SAME during an acupuncture treatment and a "Dry Needling" treatment. The insertion of acupuncture needles in acupuncture points using acupuncture techniqes IS acupuncture. In order for anyone to perform "dry needling", they need to be a fully trained Licensed Acupuncturist with the standard of training required in our profession. Otherwise we risk the safety of our patients.
