People need to be educated, I'm for it

I do NOT perform dry needling because of two reasons: 1. My area of practice do not really support it, and 2. I didn't believe in it. I was wrong. The studies are out there describing what it is, how it's different than acupuncture, and what is happening on the physiological level. I've seen good people dry needle and I've seen not so good. There are therapists out there who take it seriously, study hard, and obtain great results. I've seen this many times first hand. I've also heard of therapists who are not performing it as the evidence suggests, whether they don't care or they need more training, I don't know. My point is that with the proper training and execution, it is a very effective modality that has helped many people when other modalities, treatment, and medicine were ineffective.
