The Second Amendment is there for a reason

I am appalled that you would remove our right to defend ourselves and ask that no action be taken to do so. Government officials have the taxpayers paying for their protection but we would have to pay for our own and who can afford that. Because we have allowed the terrorist situation to get out of hand, we want to be able to protect ourselves in case of an incident. Terrorist don't honor gun free zones or any laws for that matter.

Never forget that removing the right to own/carry guns was one of Hitlers first moves to be sure he could take over the country. Please know your history and why the Founders gave us that amendment among others, and let the people decide if they want to make a change to the constitution. I believe you are a smart man so  please think very hard and leave Politics out of it and act for the benefit of the citizens and not one interest group.
