Constitutional Rights/Unalienable

As an American, a Virginian, and a human, this proposition is in direct violation citizens' personal rights.  The United States Constitution and The Virginia State Constitution, both, decree the right to bear arms and, furthermore, that this right SHALL NOT be infringed. Infringed does not mean taken away.  Infringement is the encroaching upon or trespassing of rights.  This proposition goes beyond infringement and, in fact, does take away the right to bear arms, not to mention the UNALIENABLE rights of life and liberty that this nation was founded upon when we declared freedom from an oppressive, tyranical government for taking away our rights.  Where is the right to life if we do not have adequate means of self defense and defense of fellow citizens in an act of armed robbery or terrorism? Where is the right to liberty in a state that takes away rights of its citizens, when it clearly has no power to do so? Rights cannot be taken away, only given up.  So let's not give up our rights and allow them to be take by a governor who has no authority to take them from us. Disarming the people is the quickest route to senseless loss of life, and Govern McAulliffe's proposition does nothing but open to door to that. This proposition should be thrown out immediately.
