Professionals in the healthcare field spend years training to become licensed to practice acupuncture. I have received effective acupuncture from licensed acupuncturists before, but I would never feel comfortable enough to trust a physical therapist to perform these and related treatments on me since they have not gone through the rigorous licensing process required of professional acupuncturists.
