I don't see any reason to change what is working.  If it ain't broke don't try to fix it and waste tax payers money.  We must have an ID to get into the white house, ride on an airplane, get a loan, get into your childrens school, drive a car, get a library card, withdraw money from the bank and many other things.  I'm tired of people making excuses.  Many places will give you a free ID if you need it.
