Thhe proposed elemination of the requirement to check the boxes for u.s. citizenship, lack of felony convictioin, and the abscence of any legal mental competency ruling against the appllicant in effect totally eliminates any safeguard from fraudulent registration.  As a legal citizen of virginia, I  cannot think of any legitamit reason why the state board of ellections{SBE} has proposed these changes.  Quite the contary, the SBE must have some personnal agenda for wanting to elimate these safeguards.. The names of the SBE members will be subject to scrutiny in all future ventures.
