I am opposed to the proposal to eliminate questions about legal status and felon history from the voter registration forms. It is a privilege to vote not a right and being a legal citizen or not having a felony conviction record are required to earn that right. I hate to think this proposal is coming from the board of elections and not our legislators is a political ploy.
