Maintain the Integrity of Voter Registration

Dear Virginia State Board of Elections,

As a Hispanic immigrant to this great nation I am appalled that such a destruction to the integrity of our voter registration would even be contemplated. Many immigrants come to this country to be free from the corruption and fraud that permeates their respective country's election system. It is a privilege to be a citizen of the the United Sates of America and be granted the right to vote and this solemn act should not be dimished or disrespected in any form. No American citizen can go into any country in Europe, Central America, South America, and even our close neighbors Canada and Mexico and vote in their elections without showing citizenship or some form of credential that validates their clearance to vote. Why would we as the great state of Virginian want to destroy our sound Constitutional safeguards against fraudulent registration. I expect these types of practices from third world countries were the rule of law is set by corrupt govenment officals or drug cartels, but not the United Sates of America!

Please protect the Virginia Voter Registration forms integrity and continue to uphold the requirements of affirming citizenship, free of felony convictions, and sustaining mental competence.

Thank you,

Dr. Mancheno-Smoak
