I have served 30 years in the Army (Colonel, Ret) and 10 as a Federal Government cvivilian (about half of that as a Senior Executive).  I srongly urge you not to change Virginia voting registration procedures.  Leave the form as it is.  We need to make sure that only those authorized, as valid US Citizens, are able to vote. The proposed change will make that problmatic, and too difficult to verify.  I have worked as a Virginia (Fairfax County) Election Officer, so I know this to be true.  Please do not take action that would, to a great extent, invalidate my service to this nation.
