Proposed Changes to the Voting Registration Form

The proposed changes to the regulations and to the voter registration form create ambiguity and uncertainly where none exists with the current form, and apparently violate state law and the Virginia Constitution.   You need to keep the current form with the requirement that all applicants to affirm his or her U.S. citizenship, the lack of felony convictions, and the absence of any legal mental competency ruling against the applicant.  We need to keep the current form to avoid fraud in the elections and to ensure that only valid citzens are allowed to vote.  Your actions need to help citizens respect their Election officials in order to maintain confidence and integrity in the Virginia elections.  Anything else will bring high scrutiny on the Election Officials, the governor and attorney general for making changes that allow fraud to be perpetrated in Virginia's elections.
