2015 Voter Registration Application Regulation and Form Update

Please vote “No” on the proposed changes to voter registration.  Maintain the integrity of our voting system in Virginia.

Please do not adopt this proposal to allow people to skip over the citizenship and felony convictions questions on the voter registration form.  If anything, we should have to present proof of citizenship to register to vote. There is no reason that non-citizens should be allowed to vote in our elections.  In fact, there is every reason that they should not vote.

I am frankly SHOCKED that the State Board of Election would even entertain such a notion that they didn't require people to declare their citizenship.

Citizenship should be a requirement on the form as voting is a right of citizenship. This is a basic and vitally important right of being a citizen and anything that degrades that should be opposed.
