I am an Ob/Gyn in the state of Virginia with considerable knowledge about the safety of abortion.   I also have considerable knowledge about the crucial, non-abortion medical care facilities targeted by TRAP regulations provide.  These regulations are unnecessary and do not improve the safety of abortion provision but instead limit access to needed care for many women who have no other places to go.  As a woman and as a physician, the intrusion of politics where it should not be, specifically the confidential relationship between a woman and her doctor, is extremely frustrating.  I respectfully request the repeal of these regulations that have no support by medical evidence whatsoever.
