Rescind the bad laws and regulations stifling access to abortion services in Virginia

The women of Virginia should have access to the medical care they need without the providers having to adhere to regulations that have nothing to do with medicine and everything to do with imposing restrictions on the legal right of Virginian women to have abortions if they deem it necessary.  Although I was able to have a therapeutic abortion in a hospital prior to Roe v. Wade, the unnecessary hoops my doctor and I had to jump through to get this medically necessary procedure performed were medieval and political.  In the 21st century we women in Virginia should not have to endure such difficulties just because some of the men in the legislature want to impose their political viewpoints on us.  It's our bodies not theirs! Safe procedures in sterile clinics are possible with Planned Parenthood which offers many other medical services that women need at a reasonable price, and this should be the model for expanding the availability of abortion and birth control services in Virginia.  Thank you, Rebecca Cofman
