In many parts of this nation abortion is treated as an unregulated surgical procedure.  Allowing any surgical procedure to be unregulated is not in the best interest of the public, especially those who wind up being patients in such procedures.  We don't want another Kermit Gosnell situation to make Virginia a national news item.
