Uphold Standards, Protect Women

Board of Health,

If the Virginia Department of Health is actually chartered to improve HEALTH STANDARDS that affect Virginians, I believe that they should assure that these standards cover ABORTION CLINICS. I have seven daughters, and would never want any of them to terminate a pregnancy. But if that happened, and a health problem of any kind followed, I would consider suing personally those in charge of the Virginia Department of Health. Standards to protect citizen health at these clinics should enforce safety just as in Hospitals, should require a full installation of life saving equipment, and regularly reviewed records that show compliance with ALL Virginia law regulating their activity. The Board of Health should randomly and with out notice examine these records and facilities, and report to the PEOPLE by publication in newsprint and on the web and via PBS. We can not allow those who fund "Womens Choice" facilities to skimp on the CARE that they give their patients. John Leary
