In a modern, vibrant society, scientific evidence trumps ideology and dogma.  Burdensome and unnecessary regulation harms any activity to which it is subject.  In the case of medical practice, it could have life-threatening consequences. Regulation of medical facilities should reflect the consensus of evidence-based, professional and expert opinion.
