Clean Facilities and Competency

Virginia needs to ensure the cleanliness of abortion clinics and the competency of physcians who perform abortions. To assure quality healthcare for women we must keep the legislation which was passed by our delegates. It is Unconscionable to override the standards which are currently in place and to return to an unsafe situation that allowed for filthy conditions and unqualified doctors without hospital admitting procedures to perform life threatening abortions on women. Any State Board of Health member who would bend to political pressures and in doing so put any woman's health in jeopardy should resign his/her position. The regulations that the legislature enacted for women's abortion clinics are necessary and NO more protective in nature than I would expect from restaurant inspections or veterinary hospitals. Why should women's abortion clinics be less clean that veterinary facilities?  Let's not make Virginia a poster child state for another Gosnell.  We certainly don't need that to end tourism in our state.
