Protect Women - Retain Health & Safety Standards

Please maintain strong abortion center regulations to protect the women who go there.  An abortion center in Alexandria, VA has had multiple violations cited by the Virginia Department of Health, and yet it has failed to correct most of these during the past few years, including failure to ensure all staff were trained in infection prevention techniques, proper handwashing, and safe injection practices.  There was failure to wash hands between seeing patients; expired medications on hand; chairs and procedure tables that could not be disinfected between patients due to cloth or non-intact surfaces, and no verification available to show that the doctors or other staff members were even qualified to perform abortions.  There are reports of many other facilities with even worse violations.  There is certainly a need for oversight and enforcement of the health and safety regulations.
