Repeal TRAP regulations that hinder access to women's health care

The purpose of a review of the regulations is to " determine whether this regulation should be repealed, amended, or retained in its current form. Public comment is sought on the review of any issue relating to this regulation, including whether the regulation (i) is necessary for the protection of public health, safety, and welfare..."

The BOH should be able to determine that the regulations are NOT necessary. It is quite clear that any closing of women's health clinics that might be closed if the regulations remain in place could compromise access by many women who need reproductive health care and cancer screenings. The current regulations reduce the protection of public health.

The BOH now has the opportunity to repeal the regulations so that Virginia's women will continue to have access to health care.
