There is no doubt that we need these standards in Virginia. Some of my 70 year old patients still cry about their abortions they had 50 years ago. Some of my friends recount brutal stories of their experience in an abortion clinic in Virginia.We must protect women from profiteering. If you do not inspect clinics like any surgical center in Virginia is inspected, then you will see as we already have seen with our inspections, that these facilities will not keep their facility up to standards. Instruments are not sterilized in between abortions,the facilities are not cleaned. Anesthesia given by people that have no training all in order to make a bigger profit.Please protect the women in Virginia with common sense laws that we use for all surgical centers.
