Board of Health,
I keep hearing allegations of various health and safety violations at abortion centers in Virginia. If these allegations are true, may I offer a suggestion" Why not authorize veterinarians to conduct abortions as they would on a family pet or on a COW. I would imagine that, if the allegations are true, a veterinarians office would likely be safer and cleaner than one of the abortions clinics. And, hey, if women are going to be treated like cows or other lower animals, why not let the veterinarian offices help handle the demand. Seriously, personally speaking, if the standards at abortion centers are as low as alleged, certainly I do not think that any woman would be wise to go to one. As a male, I have no need of an abortion - and if I was a woman, I would not consider one - yet if I go to some medical clinic, I want them, I demand that they have, very high standards of cleanliness and safety for my protection. Most of them to have such standards. I dont see why abortion clinics, which practice an invasive procedure which could result in infection or bodily or even death, should not be required to have high standards for the safety of their patients. It just seems to me to be the right thing to do, the SAFE thing to do. E. Marshall Buckles
