Reading about what happened in Kermit Gosnell's Philadelphia abortion facility sent shivers up my spine! How he and his assistants were allowed to butcher women and babies for years with no oversight is unimaginable.  Conditions at his "clinic" are well documented and available for all to read.  His heinous practices went on for years, all after 1973.  Would his victims say that their abortions were "safe"?  Why was his "clinic" not inspected for years and years?

If the citizens of Virginia really care about "Women's Health" then they should enthusiastically support basic health standards at abortion centers.  Shouldn't a facility where invasive surgery is performed be expected to adhere to minimum medical standards? Isn't this part of the "safe, legal, and rare" mantra?
