If it is deemed necessary to have these places, they should certainly be required to have the same health regulations any other medical facility would be required to have. There are too many unforeseen risks involved in ANY medical procedure, regardless of how invasive it is. A facility that deals in bodily fluids of ANY kind should be considered a medical facility, and should be regulated as such. If a local tattoo artist has to got through licensure, certification  and training in blood borne disease, an abortion clinic certainly should! Regardless of my position on abortion, we owe to these women to make sure that they have one less thing to worry about, coming out of the clinic. One going in has already died, regulations SHOULD be in place to make sure that it's not both of them!
