I most strongly support making permanent the proposed regulations for licensure of abortion facilities. If abortion is to be accessible to women in the Commonwealth, the facilities where abortions are performed should minimally be as safe as possible. Existing regulations have been shown to be inadequate. It would be unconscionable not to correct this situation by at least implementing better safety provisions. I implore the Board of Health to do all that is possible to protect women who choose abortion.
