Ladies and Gentlemen of the Board:  You are about to decide a very important issue of making permanent the requirements for Licensure or License Renewal of abortion clinics. I ask that you promote the standardization of these clinics just as the state would instill standards for construction, Physician licensing, etc. for a hospital. The Regulations for Licensure of Abortion Facilities [12 VAC 5 - 412] will do this and at the same time protect and not hinder the women's choice under current law. I, as do other citizens, refuse to accept the mandate that abortion is health care.  Abortion ends lives and does not heal them. Nevertheless, the Administrator and Abortion Facility must step up to the plate when passed, to comply with these regulations thereby promoting a higher standard of care to women's health. Let's not get lost in the wining of a select clientele who only worry about the profit motives. Act now to permanently regulate this "for profit" business.  Thank you.
