DO not adopt proposed regulations
 
I would request that the DOE do not adopt proposed regulation changes to the gifted education plan. I believe that recommendations made by Henrico county GAC are in the best interest of the gifted education Plan. The proposed regulation will be a setback for the gifted program.
 
I strongly believe that DOE approval of local gifted plans is essential to maintaining quality gifted program statewide. State approval also reassures parents and gifted students that
 their local school system is providing the excellence that they expect.
