I am a mother of a gifted student and I strongly believe that the proposed regulations should NOT be implemented. Gifted students have special needs and the state and lawmakers have to support their education and well-being. Before my daughter was identified as a gifted student, she was absolutely bored in her class. Being in the gifted program gave her to the challenge and the joy of learning. Do we really want to take away the opportunity of excelling from those kids? how can we build an educated society if we are not supporting the talents we have?
