As a labor and delivery room nurse/supervisor, I am fully aware of why regulations exist. The number and type of violations found in the existing facilities only attest to the need for regulatory supervision and mandatory laws. This is how one cares for the life and health of woman. This is not an issue of a political/religious nature, rather it is the duty of the Board of Health to approve of the standards that preserve the lives of the women of this state. The regulations deny women nothing but, assures them of well being (physical and mental). I applaud the board's initial decision and hope for the sake of women it maintains this regulatory path. Thank you for your present and continued stance on this issue.
