Politicians' and anyone else's personal objections to a legal medical procedure do not justify treating clinics providing abortion services differently from all other medical clinics providing surgical services. Absolutely no one with a brain is fooled by claims that the TRAP regs are intended to and do ensure women's safety. Not only do the regs have nothing whatsoever to do with protecting women surgical patients, but they affirmatively endanger women - especially low-income women - who will have no affordable access to all the other health services, e.g., cancer screenings, provided by clinics that also provide abortion services once those clinics close for inability to afford making TRAP-required changes. Please do the right thing and make a decision on final regs based on the great weight of medical evidence and facts already presented, not based on politics.
