As a health care provider and mother, I am appauled to know that a woman, regardless of the reason for her incarceration would be required to be placed in shackles while in labor, delivery and post-partum.  If there would be an emergency, the mother and baby would and could be in jepordy regarding their health and well-being.  Please end this barbaric policy.
