As a parent of a student currently enrolled in the Gateways program at Claude thompson Elementary School, I strongly encourage continued support for Virginia's gifted and talented students. I can't tell you how much this program has helped my daughter open up and love school, knowing that she is free to reach for the stars in her area of aptitude.

GT motivates students to be self-responsible problem solvers. In a world where kids can be so easily influenced by bad behavior, isn't it a better idea to encourage more positive traits?

Please let the GT programs continue to bring out the best in kids.
