Virginia Dept of Corrections policy to use restraints on pregnant inmates.

Virginia once again shows what conservative means to Republican:  The abuse of women, pregnant women in Virginia jails and regional correctional facilities.  Stop shackling pregnant women. This abusive policy poses health rist to them and their fetuses.  It is even more dangerous during labor and delivery when women most need freedom of movement and medical staff may need to conduct emergency procedures.

The medivel mentality for shakling pregnant women  is disgusting but it does reflect conservative Republican values as evidenced by Republican family values across the country and Republican legislators in Virginia.

Has any pregnant women ever escaped from jail while in labor?  I suspec t none!

Show some humanity.  DON'T SHAKLE PREGNANT WOMEN EVER!
