Description The regulations protect public drinking water in Virginia and prevent bacteriological, chemical, radiological and physical contamination of drinking water by, among other things, providing appropriate requirements for issuing construction and operation permits for waterworks and establishing effective and appropriate minimum quality standards designed to protect human health.
