Pleasant Hill Solar, LLC has provided the Department of Environmental Quality a notice of intent to submit the necessary documentation for a permit by rule for a small renewable energy project (solar) in the City of Suffolk, pursuant to Virginia Regulation 9VAC15-60. Located approximately 3 miles southerly of downtown Suffolk on Hosier Road, the proposed project is a solar photovoltaic electricity generation facility on single-axis sun-tracking racks on roughly 160 acres of land, with a preliminary estimated capacity of 20MWac delivered via 73,000 modules.
