| Purpose of the meeting A public hearing to receive comments on a draft permit authorizing Synagro Central, LLC to land apply biosolids and water treatment plant residuals to 16,796 acres of agricultural and silvicultural land at 90 sites in Louisa County. The permit will limit the application of nutrients, metals, and pathogens contained in these materials to amounts that protect water quality and human health. The public comment period begins on January 21, 2016 and ends on March 8, 2016. If the meeting is cancelled due to inclement weather, a back-up date for the hearing, has been scheduled for February 25, 2016 at 7 p.m. In the event that the hearing is held on February 25, 2016, the public comment period will remain open until March 10, 2016. In the event of inclement weather, call the staff contact phone number or refer to the DEQ website listed below for cancellation information. In addition, an interactive informational session will be held from 6:00p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at the same location. | |
