Summary	Permanent Guidelines for the Energy Star and WaterSense Sales Tax Holiday, a recurring event which begins each year on the Friday before the second Monday in October and ends on the following Monday. During this period, consumers may purchase certain Energy Star and WaterSense qualified products exempt of the Retail Sales and Use Tax. TAX has worked with affected retailers, retail organizations, and state agencies to develop these Guidelines, which apply to the Energy Star and WaterSense Sales Tax holiday for 2009 and subsequent years.
