Dear Board of Health Members:
What did Atty General Cuccinelli threaten you with to make you change your professional opinion to his agenda against women's health? I find it hard to believe that health professionals and those familiar with health issues would voluntarily require abortion clinics to offer and maintain facilities that are required only of hospitals. You do not require such restrictions for medical personnel who perform in office procedures, many of a more serious and complex nature than performing first trimester abortions. Why is it being required of abortion clinics?
The obvious reason is that you were coerced by our biased, agenda-based Attorney General. It's a crime that we don't have an Attorney General in Virginia who is more concerned about enforcing our laws than in promoting his private agenda.
If it's at all possible, please reconsider your decision and act according to accepted medical practice.
Thank you.
