TRAP law on abortion providers

Dear Sirs,  I am outraged about Governor McDonnell's sneak attack on women's rights!  By quietly and underhandedly pressuring the board of health to agree with his demand to force women's clinics to meet building requirement similiar to hospitals, he has , in effect, shut them down.  These clinics provide many other services besides abortions. My own daughter used a women's clinic to take care of her health when she did not have health insurance after college. The clinic doctor discovered a problem with her thyroid levels, which they were able to treat successfully.  My daughter is white and college educated.  Not every person using these clinics is looking for a hand out from the Government!!!  Many go there because there is NO WHERE else to go!  In addition, everyone with a brain knows that asking these clinics to meet these unreasonable building codes is just a deceitful way to close them down.  If you care about women's health issues at all (think screening for breast cancer, too), then you will agree with me that this action should be STOPPED!!!  Finally, Federal law says abortions are legal in this country.  This hateful legislation affects women in the whole state!  Do you have a daughter? A niece? Does she have a job with insurance? If not, then you certainly can understand why women need these clinics!!!
