Until the abortion industry comes clean

Until the abortion industry comes clean -- literally -- and proves it can run sanitary, safe abortion centers, the Board of Health should maintain vigorous safety standards on the industry's abortion centers. Would the Board tolerate blood splattered equipment, unknowlegable employees, dirty and unsafe conditions at any other medical facility as last year's inspections proved to be the case at the majority of the abortion centers in Va.?

The industry also must come clean with its rhetoric. It continues to say, and fool the public unfortunately, that these safety standards would force them to shut down. In fact, all of them that would need to make the needed renovations to their facilities have said they will do so, and can afford to do so. Finally, the abortion industry would have the public believe that if these safety standards go into permanent effect, it would close down their facilities and deny other medical services, conveniently forgetting to inform the public that they can provide these other services in their curent facilites and not be subject to the new standards if they decide only to provide those services. The standards only apply to those buildings that provide abortion services.

Respectfully,

Stephen J. Rossie
