Why is this even an issue? Of course strict medical standards should be applied to abortion clinics. Think of the state of women and young girls when they go to an  abortion clinic. They are very vulnerable and would be unable to complain if the facility was not run properly. Usually abortions are done secreatly and the patient is unlikely to hold anyone responsible if she is not given the proper medical treatment.  Therefore it is extremely important that certain standards are met before a license is given .
