Do not implement new abortion clinic regulations

The regulations pushed through the board of health recently represent a thinly veiled, partisan attempt to weasel around Roe v Wade. These regulations, which would not affect any other outpatient procedure, are unfair and, quite frankly ridiculous. This is not aimed at helping to protect the women of Virginia, but to limit their reproductive choices. If you are truly concerned about public health, then require such safety standards for all outpatient procedures rather than just the ones that go against the attorney general's idealogical bent. If these standards are implemented it will not only be a poor reflection of our dear state, but an awful indicator of just how polarized the politics in Richmond is and how unashamedly backward and dirty the idealogues in our state have become. This state has already been the laughing stock of the nation regarding reproductive services once, I would hate to see it be so again. This is 2013, not 1956. I expect my state to accept the realities of the 21st century, one of which is that not only reproductive choice, but the availability of reproductive services is vital for economic and personal freedom to be enjoyed by men and women alike.
