I am fully in support of this change. How can anyone not be? It is entirely paid for by the employee so the argument  about the state paying for it is senseless. It provides insurance coverage so that people can seek health care (would you prefer them to become incapactiated and go on disability?) And in actuality were reality  should be provided at the same cost as insurances for spouses so Virginians are getting a huge break.

There are things in the Virginia State employees insurave which are not addressed by this action which need changed (such as riders prohibiting certains surgeires and treatments deemed medically necessary by the AMA) but this is an important step in the right direction for Virginia
