Description This regulation establishes the regulatory framework for protecting children from abuse and neglect. The regulation provides direction for how best to protect children while balancing the rights of parents and family integrity

Goals of Regulation To identify abused and neglected children;
To provide services to such identified children;
To prevent further abuse and neglect; and
To preserve the family life of the parents and children, where possible, by enhancing parental capacity for adequate care.
