General Information
Action Summary Amendments are adopted to: 1) facilitate electronic renewal of licenses; 2) accommodate verification of practical experience for pharmacy interns coming from some other states; 3) eliminate the requirement for pharmacy technicians to submit documentation of continuing education to renew registration; 4) allow for more than one pharmacist to be involved in verifying the accuracy of a prescription and clarify documentation for each involvement; 5) modify requirement for labeling in unit dose dispensing systems to protect patient privacy; 6) allow for current technology that uses compliance packaging instead of unit dose dispensing system in hospitals or long-term care facilities; and 7) eliminate the requirement for an alarm system for teaching institutions that only stock schedule VI drugs.
