Board of Accountancy Regulations [18 VAC 5 ‑ 21]    (Repealed)
Action:
Fee for Administration of Computer-Based CPA Examination
Action 1974

General Information
Action Summary In accordance with Section 2.2-4011 (A) of the APA and Executive Order 21 (2002), the Board is proposing an emergency regulation to decrease the administration fee charged to Virginia candidates who take the CPA exam for the first time to $120, and to repeal entirely the fee charged to Virginia candidates who re-take the exam. By assuming the administration of the computer-based CPA exam (CBT) from its current vendor, the Board will more efficiently and effectively administer the CBT for its candidates; the net effect of this action is to reduce the cost for Virginia candidates.
